This is a separate Maya scene file containing just the rifle. Due to the complexity of the scene, I created all the components separately so I didn't have to wait ridiculous amounts of time for a render, nor contend with Maya crashing due to scene size.
I created the rifle by putting a backplane of a 2d image of an actual AR-15 style rifle so I could accurately sculpt the geometry. This is still in this scene file so you can see how I did it, if you're interested.

Just like the rifle above, the magazine was created separately from the rest of the objects. Believe it or not, the magazine was actually difficult to pull off, due to the way the different pieces wrapped together.

The last part of this menage a tois is the bullet. As you can probably imagine, this was ridiculously easy as compared to the magazine and the rifle.
However, if you'd like to see how I made the magic happen, feel free to download the Maya scene file (in Maya ASCII format)
